Venus versus Virus sketchby ~KageAkurei

This is a character I got from a Japanese manga preview book while I was in Japan, her name is Luchia san from Venus versus Virus. I drew her with a mechanical pencil and then scaned it to get it on here, the scanner kind of did a bad job but it still looks good.

Thanks alot FinalFlash, I've looked in yours and it looks like your pretty good in photoshop.

I have used CS a bit but mostly just draw on paper and stuff... I havn't drawn anything in a while but I'll start up soon because I'll be drawing for my college classes, I'm majoring in animation and media design.

Right now I'm just coming up with stories and creating characters. I also have to do design work and come up with patterns and things that work... I'm also drawing alot of perspective work with different tools like pencils, markers and charcoal. Plus I have a art history class were we learn about what art is and how its changed over the years, we get to go on field trips to art museums sometimes so its pretty cool.

Well I want to become a concept artist and maybe draw characters and level ideas for games or movies. But I probably will take what ever I can get when I first finish college and may just become an animator for maybe Pixart or something if I get hired by them, I have to start creating a profollio.

Not nessesarly they are kind of the same but a concept artist doesn't really make their characters move like an animator does by drawing each and every frame if its a 2D film. But a concept artist may make their creations 3D which some animators do as well to make them move in films just as toy story and such.
